The simplest training plan

Going through different learning theories, the simplest training plan for beach volleyball is having experienced athletes play with a relative novice against a range of teams. Rather than following most sports in creating “skill level” classifications, one should avoid the parity within teams when training. The highly cooperative nature of volleyball tends to shield people in these scenarios. They create predictability rather than innovation. Unlike almost any other sport, beach volleyball requires the participation of both players, and working on the skill to lift a partner should be something sought after. The games may be ugly, the scores may be poor, but with the right mentality, the learning will transfer.
